Le mot de la semaine: reconcilier

Toute de suite, le mot réconcilier me fait penser à notre nouveau président Barack Obama. Pour les américains, l'inauguration d'Obama est une réconciliation entre le poste du président et la publique américaine. Il représente l'espoir pour le futur de notre pays et le respect et la confiance entre le président et la publique. Aux Etats-Unis, l'inauguration du président est une grande affaire. Il y avait plus de 2 millions gens à Washington, D.C. et on ne sait pas combien qui la regardait sur la télévision. C'était un moment historique pour les américains et le monde. L'inauguration du premier président africain-américain était monumentale, bien sur. J'espère que c'est le début d'une réconciliation des relations entre tous les ethnicités aux Etats-Unis et mondial.

Bonjour fellow bloggers! I have to admit that I'm very new to all of this, but I'm finally jumping on the blogging bandwagon.
My name is Catie and I'm a future French teacher and native of Fayetteville, AR. I love to travel more than anything...whether it's a road trip with my friends or an out-of-the country excursion, I'm ready to go. One of my best life experiences thus far was living in France for a year (Jan-Dec 07). I learned so much about French culture, language, people, cooking, music, literature, politics...it was exhilarating! I also learned so much about myself, it was a growing experience to say the least!
I'm a student at the University of Arkansas (GO HOGS!) and one of the reasons for this blog is a class I'm taking about using technology in the Foreign Language classroom. We are learning to blog, wiki, podcast, and more. It's very intimidating since I can barely operate my i-pod, but I'm going to give it my best shot. So here goes........hope you enjoy!
